What is Sixes Lacrosse?
Sixes Lacrosse is a newer, fast-paced version of the game introduced by World Lacrosse. Sixes is played on a smaller field with six players per team, including a goalie. This format promotes continuous play with fewer stoppages, making it an exciting and accessible option for new and experienced players. Sixes lacrosse is gaining traction in Ontario, offering an excellent way to develop skills in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Did you know that Sixes will be played in the 2028 Olympics?
Season Information:
August 23-October 26 (practices may begin mid-August)
No gameplay on Labor Day weekend or Thanksgiving weekend
Tournament Oct 4-5 - (location TBD) - teams will only participate on the Saturday OR the Sunday and they will play approximately 4 games on the day.
Provincials Oct 24-26 (location TBD)
Important Scheduling Information:
The Sixes season will follow a scheduling format similar to the box lacrosse season. The hope is that most games will be played within our zone, with some out-of-zone games scheduled as needed. Please expect both practices and games to take place on weekdays, though weekend games may be scheduled—especially when playing teams outside of our zone.
The final schedule, and where games fall (weekday vs weekend) will be largely dependent on which associations declare teams. We’ll share detailed information as soon as it becomes available.
Cost: $265

Final rosters will be determined based on registration numbers, tryouts (if held), and available space. If registration exceeds capacity, additional teams may be formed. Otherwise, a waitlist will be created, and players will be added if spots become available.
