REGISTRATION FOR THE 2023 LACROSSE SEASON

All players who wish to sign up for Rep Tryouts must be fully registered and have paid their registration fee before the first tryout begins.

Players only wishing to participate in House League can continue to register online up until when House League is scheduled to start.

Registration Process:

Registration is conducted on the  OLA Registration Portal (link provided below). This site replaces the old paper forms. You will be prompted for basic contact information and the programs you wish to register for. You can register for box and field at once.

NOTE: If you have not used the OLA Portal in the past, you will be prompted to provide your child's birth certificate or other form of age confirmation.

Age Groups:

The OLA has re-named many of the age groups to align with naming conventions in other sports.  We have included the old names for reference.

Please note: For house league programs, the association reserves the right to combine age groups or move players to a higher or lower age group should registration levels dictate this, player safety considerations or for the good of a player's development.

Refund Policy

The Barrie Minor Lacrosse Association charges a $50 administration fee for ALL REFUNDS unless the program is cancelled by the BMLA, to cover costs associated with OLA registration, card and banking fees.  Clinics, tryouts or specialty programs may be designated as non-refundable.

NO REFUNDS will be issued once the season begins on the floor /field, except under individual extenuating circumstances as approved by vote of the Executive Committee.  The “season start” is defined as the first scheduled time on the floor or field after being selected to a rep team or the first scheduled time on the floor for house league programs.

If a player has not been selected for a BMLA Rep team, the player will be automatically placed in the house league program if offered.  Should BMLA not offer a suitable program for the player, a full refund will be issued.

If any promotional items are issued at the time of registration, this cost will be deducted from the refund.

No refunds will be issued until any equipment belonging to BMLA is returned in acceptable condition.

All requests for refunds must be in writing to the BMLA Treasurer and Registrar with the child's name, division, the person to issue the refund to, the date of request and reason for refund clearly indicated.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

The Ontario Lacrosse Association has removed the requirement for vaccination in line with the province's regulations.  Details on the changes can be found here: https://ontariolacrosse.com/content/administration/ontario-lacrosse-association-covid-19-vaccination-policy-march-4.pdf

Participants, parents and other spectators may be required to show proof of vaccination to enter facilities. This is a requirement of that facility and not the BMLA.  There will be zero tolerance for non-compliance with vaccine regulations put in place by the Province or Municipal Governments, the OLA or BMLA.  Registrations will be cancelled without refund or warning.
